Although we all tend to link Veganuary with the end goal of becoming vegan, these figures tell us a huge shift is happening with ‘vegan curious’ consumers who typically follow all kinds of other diets. They keep coming back to a plant-based diet with open minds. Be it for a month, three, or more! And we shouldn’t underestimate the difference this is making.
As a result of taking part in Veganuary previously, 85% of non-vegans have reduced their intake of animal products2 – a huge shift with positive ripple effects on the planet, wellbeing and livestock.
And with a high number of plant-based meals eaten by non-vegans3, their year-round appeal continues to grow for people of all diets.
As a chef, knowing you can meet the demand for vegan dishes with quality and versatile meat alternatives (at value!) is a weight off the mind.
