WE’RE COMMITTED TO IMPROVING OUR IMPACT OVER TIME. HERE’S HOW:
ZERO-WASTE MANUFACTURING
The Nestlé factories where our foodservice products are made send zero manufacturing waste to landfill for disposal. To achieve this, we reuse, recycle, compost, or recover energy from waste materials that would have otherwise gone to a landfill.
RECYCLABLE PACKAGING
It is Nestlé’s vision that none of our packaging ends up in a landfill or as litter. To help achieve this, our commitment is that 100% of our packaging is recyclable or reusable by 2025. We’re working toward this by using fewer packaging materials, using recycled content in our packaging, and designing our packaging to be recyclable.
Our aluminum trays and lids are about 70% recycled content.
U.S. DAIRY NET ZERO SUPPORT
Nestlé has committed $10 million as part of a multi-year partnership with the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy’s Net Zero Initiative to support dairy farmers across the U.S. in implementing new technologies to help achieve net zero carbon emissions industry-wide by 2050 while optimizing water usage and improving water quality.
INDUSTRY SUPPORT
Nestlé Professional has committed $1 million to support students from all backgrounds pursuing a future in the restaurant, foodservice, and hospitality industry through the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation’s ProStart® Program.
